I was reading a book, found an interesting teaser . It is very simple one, can you figure out what it is:

Beginning balance for the month ...... $ 54

Cheque # 0221 $ 20 Balance $ 34
Cheque # 0222 $ 20 Balance $ 14
Cheque # 0223 $ 10 Balance $ 4
Cheque # 0224 $ 04 Balance $ 0

Total $ 54 Total $ 52
James has been trying hours to figure out why the two sides of his checkbook ledger are not the same. Can you determine where the missing two dollars have gone ?
