Setting a goal is establishing an objective that does not exist at the moment, else it would not be a new goal. Reaching the goal takes a certain amount of time, depending on what the goal is and conditions for reaching it. So, reaching your goal is seeking to change something from the present state where you start to a future state where your goal is reached. Since the future is unknown, the unknown becomes the opportunity - the challenge.
All goals are set within a context of the unknown, the area where things are happening. We should prepare ourselves to improving ourselves so we can participate fully on challenge the unknown. This we can do, and successfully, if we develop confidence in ourselves.
Apple keeps falling from the trees everyday. It is a common phenomenon not worth a second thought. Normally. But when the same apple falls on the head of someone like Issac Newton it leads to the discovery of the force of gravitation, a fundamental forces that is not only spread throughout the Universe but also happens to be the one that holds the universe together.
This is the most celebrated but not the only instance of routine happening that leaves a common person unmoved but kindles in a genius a spark that leads human kind from darkness to light.
